A NAT firewall, or network address translation firewall, is a security device that allows multiple devices on a private network to share a single public IP address. This is done by translating the private IP addresses of the devices to a public IP address when they access the internet, and then translating the public IP address back to the private IP address of the destination device when it responds. NAT firewalls are often used in home networks and small businesses to protect devices from external threats.
